wedi Building Panel is a tile backer board with a blue XPS foam core covered on both faces by fiberglass mesh set in a cement-resin coating. The closed-cell core makes the board waterproof and insulating, it is light enough to cut cleanly with a utility knife, and thinset bonds to its textured face. The 3/4 in. sheet matches the perimeter thickness of wedi Fundo Curbless bases, so the bathroom floor can be built up level with the shower.
