wedi Building Panel is a tile backer board with a blue XPS foam core covered on both faces by fiberglass mesh set in a cement-resin coating. The closed-cell core makes the board waterproof and insulating, it is light enough to cut cleanly with a utility knife, and thinset bonds to its textured face. The 1/2 in. thickness is wedi's standard wall panel and is used with all Fundo shower bases.
